Universal shipping company was first founded in the early sixties, as a small private shipping agency under the name of universal shipping agency, and within the first few years , became one of the leading shipping agents in Libya. following a merger in 1972, the company became an agency department within the Libyan national shipping line organization. thirty years later, on February 18th 2003, universal shipping agency emerged once again as a fully-fledged legal separate and independent company under the present new name of universal shipping company.
